Secondary surgery for thyroid cancer

Recently, we have received several cases of postoperative thyroid cancer recurrence requiring secondary surgery, and the patients came from all over the country, and the initial surgery was performed in many tertiary hospitals, some of which were specialized in oncology. All of these initial surgeries had some defects, and some of them did not meet the standard at all. Therefore, we would like to express our feelings here. Although thyroid surgery is more common, we would like to remind thyroid cancer patients to be cautious when choosing a hospital for the first time, and to fully communicate with their doctors before surgery to understand the scope of surgery and postoperative precautions.
