What is the concept of 600 degrees of myopia. Before we talk about 600 degrees of myopia, let’s first understand what myopia is. Myopia is a state in which parallel light rays pass through the refractive system of the eye and are focused in front of the retina when the eye is relaxed. According to the classification of myopia, there are refractive myopia and axial myopia. Refractive myopia is caused primarily by excessive curvature of the cornea and lens. Axial myopia is mainly caused by the excessive length of the eye axis. According to the degree of myopia, mild myopia refers to myopia below 300 degrees; moderate myopia refers to myopia between 325 and 600 degrees; and high myopia refers to myopia greater than 600 degrees. The 600 degrees of myopia mentioned here is equal to the moderate state of myopia. In most patients with myopia within 600 degrees, there are no pathological changes in the fundus of the eye, and the treatment given is to adequately correct the vision to the normal range by giving lenses.
