Difference between portal cirrhosis and post-necrotic cirrhosis

The main difference between portal cirrhosis and post-necrotic cirrhosis, as seen by the naked eye, is that the liver in post-necrotic cirrhosis is significantly smaller in size, lighter in weight and harder in texture. The main difference between it and portal cirrhosis is that the deformation is obvious, the left lobe of the liver is obviously atrophied, the size of the nodules varies, around 0.5-1.0 cm, the largest can be as large as 6 cm, and the intervals around the nodules are widened and uneven from the cut surface, the original structure of the liver lobules is destroyed and replaced by the formation of pseudo lobules. In portal cirrhosis, the changes are not particularly obvious and are also in the form of pseudolobules, but not as obvious as in necrotizing cirrhosis.
