In the early stage of diabetes mellitus, most people may have no symptoms, and some patients show an increase in nocturia, which may be around 2~4 times. Normal people usually urinate 0~1 times at night, and drinking too much water before going to bed may cause an increase in the number of times of nocturia. Some diabetic patients have three more and one less symptom, i.e., more drinking, more eating, more urination and weight loss, and polyuria can be manifested as increased nocturia, which may be 2~4 times. Increased nocturia in diabetic patients is due to osmotic diuresis in the kidneys caused by increased blood glucose levels, and the increased nocturia may return to normal when the blood glucose levels fall to normal. The presence of increased nocturia also needs to rule out the presence of kidney disease, it is recommended to seek medical attention in time, under the guidance of the doctor for examination and treatment.
