Wrinkles in the ears indicate the following possible clinical conditions. The first is a normal physiological phenomenon in which the patient’s skin loosens throughout the body as he or she ages, and the skin of the earlobe also loosens, resulting in wrinkles, which are unavoidable and do not require clinical attention. In the second case, patients with recent malnutrition, wasting diseases or excessive weight loss, the skin becomes loose due to the reduction of fat in the auricle, especially in the earlobe, and shows wrinkles. In the third case, it has been reported in the literature that some experts believe that patients with coronary artery disease may have wrinkles on the earlobe. Generally, in this case, the patient’s medical history, any usual cardiac discomfort, and changes in the electrocardiogram and myocardial enzyme profile should be taken into account for a comprehensive observation and analysis. In conclusion, patients with wrinkles on their ears should be analyzed in the context of their actual condition.
