Hemorrhoids are soft, flexible veins formed by the dilation and flexion of the venous plexus under the mucous membrane at the end of the rectum and under the skin of the anal canal. The nucleus of hemorrhoids located inside the mucous membrane of the anus is called “internal hemorrhoids”, and those located near the inner part of the anal opening are called “external hemorrhoids”, and those that have both are called “mixed hemorrhoids”. The symptoms of hemorrhoids are not the same because of the different types of hemorrhoids and the different locations where they grow. The actual hemorrhoids are often swollen and painful during the attack, and are clinically divided into four types: 1. inflammatory external hemorrhoids: often caused by skin damage and infection at the anal verge, such as blister-like swelling and pain; 2. thrombosed external hemorrhoids: anal venous plexus rupture, blood leaks out of the blood vessels to form a thrombus, which rises under the skin, characterized by sudden onset and intense local swelling and pain; 3. connective tissue external hemorrhoids: due to The symptoms of internal hemorrhoids can be alleviated to varying degrees after returning to normal position. Second, internal hemorrhoid symptoms When internal hemorrhoids first appear, the symptoms are not obvious, and many patients are found to have hemorrhoids only during a physical examination. However, as the lesion intensifies, the nucleus of the hemorrhoid will gradually increase in size, and the symptoms will gradually worsen. The common symptoms of internal hemorrhoids are as follows: 1. Blood in the stool: Painless, intermittent bright red blood in the stool is a typical symptom of internal hemorrhoids, and is also a common symptom of internal hemorrhoids or mixed hemorrhoids in the early stages. 2.Prolapsed hemorrhoid nucleus: It is often a late symptom, mostly with blood in the stool first, followed by prolapse, due to the increase in the volume of the hemorrhoid nucleus, the squeeze of feces during defecation, so that it gradually separated from the muscle layer and prolapsed out of the anus. Sometimes 1-2 hemorrhoids come out at the same time, and sometimes all of them come out together with the rectal mucosa. Initially, the hemorrhoid only prolapses during defecation and can be returned after defecation. If the symptoms are more severe, the hemorrhoids need to be pushed back by hand or rest in bed before they can be reset. If the symptoms are more serious, in addition to prolapse during defecation, it may prolapse when exerting force, walking, coughing, sneezing, squatting, etc. 3, pain: simple internal hemorrhoids, generally no pain, sometimes only feel the anal part of the swelling or defecation difficulties. If the hemorrhoid is inflamed and swollen, there is pain if there is thrombus formation or embedded in the hemorrhoid; if the hemorrhoid is not reset in time, the pain is aggravated; if embedded occurs, there is ulceration and necrosis, causing inflammation and edema at the anal edge, the pain is severe and the patient is restless; 4. Mucus outflow: the rectal mucosa is stimulated by the hemorrhoid for a long time, causing increased secretion; in late stage internal hemorrhoid, there is often secretion outflow from the anus because the anal sphincter is relaxed. When the internal hemorrhoid is prolapsed, the secretion will be more; 5. Itching: due to the stimulation of secretion or prolapsed hemorrhoid nucleus, it makes the area around the anus moist and unclean, and eczema and itching occur. Third, mixed hemorrhoid symptoms Mixed hemorrhoids have both internal and external hemorrhoids in the clinic. For patients whose hemorrhoids are difficult to distinguish, especially mixed hemorrhoids are not clearly distinguishable from internal and external hemorrhoids, therefore, patients need to go to the hospital for examination to clarify their condition. The hospital uses a Korean anoscope to examine hemorrhoids, and the whole process can take 3-5 minutes, allowing patients to see the subtle lesions magnified several times to choose the right treatment plan for their condition, with an accuracy rate of 99%.
