Is it fever if the baby’s forehead is not hot and the body is hot?

The reason why the child’s forehead is not hot on the body can be broadly divided into two situations: one situation is caused by external factors, the other may be to fever. 1, if it is caused by external factors, such as the child just after strenuous exercise, or wear too many clothes, too thick covers at night, no cough, cough, runny nose and other symptoms, you can let the child drink more water, and reduce the clothes or less covers. Let the child sweat out, the hot body will gradually ease the situation. 2, if the child is to appear fever, may be the body temperature is in the rising period, the baby may appear high fever. At this time to give the child appropriate physical cooling and warmth, you can give the child more clothes, drink more water, and regularly measure the child’s body temperature. If the temperature is above 38.5 degrees Celsius when measured again, medication or physical cooling should be given. You can use warm water to rub the forehead, armpits, thighs and other parts of the body, or you can also give drugs such as ibuprofen orally. If your baby’s forehead is not hot and body is hot, you have to measure the armpit temperature to know if it is a fever, not by feeling it. If the body temperature is 37.5 to 38.5 degrees Celsius, you can drink more white onion water or ginger sugar water, or you can use a cool towel to put a cold compress on the forehead; if the body temperature is more than 38.5 degrees Celsius, you can take ibuprofen suspension or acetaminophen pellets to reduce fever.
