There are five types of pediatric halitosis.
Corrosive halitosis: unhygienic mouth, usually do not rinse the mouth, there will be tartar on the gum margin, embedded debris inside the teeth, fermentation, causing halitosis.
purulent halitosis: children with foreign bodies in the nasal cavity or sinusitis, lung abscesses, etc., the location of the lesion will produce erosion, pus, ulcers and other conditions that cause halitosis.
food-based halitosis: children prefer to eat onions, garlic, leeks and other foods in general, producing halitosis.
rancid halitosis: dyspepsia caused by gastrointestinal dysfunction produces bad breath.
Rotten fruit bad breath: more common in children with diabetes.
