For fatty grains around the eyes, if the number is not very large, you can choose to pick them out with a needle under the routine operation of a doctor or use carbon dioxide laser treatment. However, physical treatment can be traumatic to the local skin and may leave pigmentation or scarring.
If the number of fatty grains is large or if the patient is apprehensive about laser treatment, topical treatment with retinoic acid ointment or tazarotene cream can be tried.
