  Montelukast Sodium Chewable Tablets can be used to treat asthma in children. The specific duration of administration depends on the specific condition of the child and cannot be generalized.  Montelukast Sodium Chewable Tablets is a selective leukotriene receptor antagonist that relieves spasm in the airways, reduces the hyperresponsiveness that plays a role in preventing asthma and allergic rhinitis attacks, and relieves wheezing and sneezing symptoms.
