Zygomatic nevus is a dark brown or dark brown pigmented spot mainly distributed symmetrically on the cheek. The cause is unknown and is not related to sun exposure. It is mainly found in women, but rarely in men, aged 18-40 years old, and more likely to develop after childbirth. The lesions are symmetrically distributed on the temporal area, cheekbones, nose and eyelids. The color and size of the lesions gradually increase as the disease progresses. Some have a family history. It is considered to be related to gynecological tumors, ovarian dysfunction and psychological factors. The lesions appear as 3~5mm, dark brown or dark brown round or oval spots of rice grain or green bean size, and some of them are clustered together in groups like nevus of Ota. The pathology shows that the epidermis is normal and the melanocytes in the lower dermal papillae contain many melanin granules of different sizes. Our department adopts the advanced peel-off laser Q-switched Nd:YAG laser (1064nm) to treat patients suffering from nevus of fucoidosis, and the cure rate is high. Generally, it takes about 3 times of treatment with an interval of 3~6 months each time, and some patients with heavy inflammatory pigmentation reaction can be extended again appropriately. It is not easy to recur after healing.
