Manifestations of congenital hip dysplasia

There are two types of congenital hip dysplasia, one before walking and one after walking. Before walking, children with congenital hip dysplasia sometimes have bilateral hip asymmetry and sometimes leg asymmetry, and sometimes these children may exhibit localized popping and rattling. After walking, children with congenital hip dysplasia often walk with swaying. Of course, if the dislocation is bilateral, sometimes there is no significant swaying, but the hips will appear unusually wide. Children with asymmetrical hip patterns, children with localized hip rattles, or children who sway unsteadily after walking should be seen by a physician promptly, except in cases of congenital hip dysplasia.
