How to treat femoral head necrosis conservatively

Conservative treatment is based on TCM theory, using traditional TCM therapy and combining with modern rehabilitation medicine to achieve the treatment method of preventing and treating the disease. According to clinical experience, the indications for conservative treatment can be summarized from the following aspects: 1. For patients with early ischemic necrosis of the femoral head, since the femoral head is still in shape and the joint space is normal, the efficacy of combining Chinese and Western medicine treatment to improve blood flow and restore joint function without weight bearing is certain. 2.For elderly patients
Over 65 years old, due to the decline of physical condition and postoperative complications, we take conservative treatment to avoid unnecessary surgical damage when the pain of the affected limb is not very serious and the function is moderately limited, and the pain is reduced and the function is improved by taking traditional Chinese medicine treatment, so that life can basically be self-care. 3. For patients with stage III or above and contraindications to surgery or bilateral femoral head necrosis, conservative treatment is taken. Although conservative treatment is not able to restore the shape of the femoral head in the middle and late stages, the effect is good as long as the affected limb is not weight-bearing and the course of treatment is appropriate. Generally, after treatment, no pain can occur for several years or more than ten years. In conclusion, conservative treatment can cure early ischemic necrosis of the femoral head, improve blood supply and alleviate, eliminate pain and improve function in the middle and late stages, and achieve basic improvement. We consider the following four signs as indications of progression requiring surgical intervention: 1) clinical sign: pain (hip or knee); 2) X-ray sign: obvious repair reaction (sclerotic zone); 3) CT sign: subchondral bone cortex fracture; 4) MRI sign: bone marrow edema, those who have any one of the above four (1) and the last three should have early surgical intervention, which can delay or even avoid joint replacement.
