Preparation 3: Appointment for surgery and laboratory tests. Circumcision generally requires an appointment 2 weeks in advance, which should be decided according to your schedule (such as using summer and winter vacations, golden weeks or long holidays), and requires pre-operative blood tests and coagulation function, etc. Preparation IV: Take time off work. It is recommended that you should rest at home for 1 week after circumcision, control your activities appropriately, take a leave of absence before the operation, and if necessary, ask the doctor will open a leave note. Preparation five: skin preparation. That is, shave the pubic hair of the penis and scrotum before the surgery and do the necessary skin cleaning work. It is generally recommended that from 2 days before the operation, the foreskin should be turned over during cleaning to expose the coronal groove and remove the foreskin scale thoroughly. However, it should be noted that the foreskin should be reset in time after cleaning to avoid causing penile foreskin impaction. Preparation six: psychological preparation. Circumcision, the surgery is relatively small, local anesthesia, pain is not obvious, but individuals (more smoking and drinking) may feel more pain. Most of the post-operative pain is not obvious, and generally do not need painkillers. Since the wound will be somewhat uncomfortable in the first few days after the surgery, some people worry that it will have an effect on sexual function after the surgery. Generally speaking, circumcision will not affect normal sexual function. On the contrary, if the burden of thought is carried, but may cause mental sexual dysfunction. Preparation seven: wear loose clothing after surgery to reduce the friction of postoperative clothing on the head of the penis. Preparation VIII: Cost. It is currently a day surgery, so the total cost is about 2,000 yuan, while laboratory tests and medications (post-operative oral antibiotics) are usually already prescribed in the outpatient clinic. Preparation IX: Transportation. It is best to take a car or taxi and avoid cycling or driving. Note: If there is acute inflammation of the foreskin, surgery is not advisable and should be done after the inflammation has subsided; if there is chronic inflammation in the foreskin and it does not heal for a long time, surgery should be done before it is too late, regardless of age, so that it is beneficial to the control of inflammation; if the sexual life is affected by long foreskin or prepuce after marriage, or if it causes infertility, surgery should also be taken.
