Ultrasound can reveal cavity adhesions. If there are cavity adhesions, more menstrual blood will accumulate in the uterus and there will be uneven echogenicity in the uterus during ultrasound examination. If the ultrasound shows uneven echogenicity, it indicates the presence of uterine adhesions. If the uterine cavity is completely adherent, the endometrium will not be visible, so this can be determined during ultrasound. Ultrasound examinations can clearly show the structure and shape of the uterine cavity and can also reflect the contents of the cavity by the intensity of the echoes. If there is a possibility of uterine adhesions, further hysteroscopy is required to determine the condition and not to diagnose the disease blindly. The location of the adhesions and the severity of the adhesions should also be determined so that the right treatment can be given.
