How to treat cardiopulmonary schistosomiasis

Schistosomiasis is a common foodborne parasitic disease caused by Schistosoma mansoni and Schistosoma Miyazaki. After ingestion, the larvae pass through the intestinal wall to the abdominal cavity, up through the diaphragm to the thoracic cavity, and through the dirty pleura to the lungs, where they board in the small bronchi of the lungs and develop into adult worms, laying 104 eggs per day for several years. The eggs are excreted in the feces after being coughed up or swallowed by the patient. After polluting the water, the eggs develop into ciliated larvae that can infect small snails, and some of the larvae in the small snails develop into anuran larvae, which are released from the body and enter mayflies and crabs to complete the whole cycle. It has been reported that one crab can contain thousands of cystic larvae, and one mayfly contains thousands. The clinical manifestations of pulmonary schistosomiasis are mainly malaise, poor nourishment, fever (mostly low fever), cough, coughing, sputum, sputum volume is not much, rust-colored sputum, occasionally sputum with blood, wandering subcutaneous nodules, serious cases may appear pleural effusion, etc., routine blood tests show high eosinophils. For a long time, Shaanxi Province, Chang’an District, Shangluo area of Danfeng County, Zhen’an County, Shanyang County and the Yangtze River Three Gorges area, the Songhua River, Tumen River and Yalu River basin is an epidemic area of pulmonary schistosomiasis.
