Surgical treatment of cervical spinal stenosis

Some patients with cervical spinal stenosis are asymptomatic but become paralyzed after a fall, while others usually have symptoms of cervical spondylosis such as unstable walking, a feeling of stepping on cotton, etc. and pain and numbness in the upper limbs, but also become paralyzed after a fall or injury. After such patients are hospitalized, their symptoms will be relieved, so perhaps some people give up surgical treatment, which is a wrong idea and should be actively treated by surgery. Although some patients can be relieved without surgery, and those who are well relieved will have no symptoms at all, surgery is still highly recommended because, first, it can relieve the symptoms the fastest. The second is to release the cervical spine compression to avoid paralysis again in the future. Third, if the symptoms are not completely relieved after giving up the surgical treatment, such as urination and defecation and lower limb muscle strength can not be normal, then surgery, the symptom relief will not be as obvious as the timely surgery after the injury.
