How to treat cervical vertigo with kneading and tapping therapy

Cervical vertigo is a balance sensory disorder in patients with cervical spondylosis. It is generally believed to be caused by feeling wind and cold and accumulated fatigue. The above two causes produce protective spasm in the soft tissues of the neck, and the spasm can cause imbalance in the internal and external balance of the cervical spine and impaired blood flow in the neck. The spasm may cause asymmetry of the hook vertebral joints and mild changes in the alignment of the cervical spine, which may directly or indirectly compress the vertebral artery and cause insufficient blood supply to the basilar artery, resulting in headache and vertigo. Clinical signs and symptoms: 1. Chronic onset with neck pain and hardening of soft tissues in the neck. Or pre-existing cervical spondylosis. Mostly due to improper or untimely treatment after feeling wind and cold. Accompanied by prolonged low head work and study. Or continuous low head work. And headache and vertigo, 2, the performance of vertigo: rotation, floating, shaking, sometimes light and sometimes heavy. In severe cases, the patient cannot get up, or cannot get up suddenly, and can take care of himself in the department of life, and can feel headache and dizziness when opening his eyes. 3.Severe cases may be accompanied by vagus nerve irritation symptoms: such as nausea, vomiting, panic, chest tightness, some dry mouth, or tinnitus, deafness, eye symptoms may include blurred eyes, eye swelling and pain. Blurred vision or double vision. Extremity symptoms: Shoulder pain, upper extremity numbness, weakness, hand tremor, lower extremity weakness, unstable walking, sudden collapse, etc. Signs: Restriction of neck movement, or inability to do various functional activities of the neck, stiffness and spasm of the soft tissues of the neck, straightening of the physiological curvature of the cervical spine, or mild posterior protrusion, paraspinal pressure pain in the upper cervical spine is significant, and pressure pain in the greater occipital nerve, which can be strung to the forehead. The intervertebral foramen compression test is positive, and the soft tissues of the neck may have adherent nodules or cords when palpated by hand, and soft tissue calcifications may be palpated in severe cervical spondylosis, such as calcification of the collateral ligament, which feels like rubbing sand when palpated. Auxiliary examination: X-ray, cervical spine bone is not obviously broken, but there is hyperplasia or asymmetry, the physiological curvature of the cervical spine is changed, in severe cases there may be calcification of the collar ligament, calcification of the anterior and posterior longitudinal ligaments, cerebral hemogram may have insufficient blood supply to the vertebral basilar artery, the examination of the five senses is not obvious abnormal performance. Treatment techniques: Patients take a sitting position, first knead the three posterior cervical veins, repeat several times, and use the method of taking and kneading to take and knead the neck muscles and soft tissues. Use the shoulder lifting method to lift the shoulder, use the point kneading method to knead the three posterior cervical veins, and use the American finger paddling method to paddle the head, you can use force, but not too much. Repeat the above treatment method 3-5 times. Finally, pat the neck and shoulders several times with the patting method. If the dizziness is serious, the patting method should be light. The treatment of cervical vertigo with this therapy can generally relieve the symptoms after one course of treatment (ten times as a course of treatment), or 3-5 times for mild cases. After recovery, you can arrange some sports activities, such as walking, jogging, etc. Do not carry heavy objects, or work with your head down for a long time to avoid relapse. If you are nervous at work, you should do some light head and neck exercises after work to relax the tense muscles and soft tissues.
