How long is the best time to review myopia

Myopia is a common disease of the eye, and the timing of a follow-up visit for this disease depends on the age of the patient. In the case of children with myopia, especially if they have a high degree of myopia or are very young, for example, under the age of three, it is generally recommended that they be reviewed as soon as possible and at intervals of at least three months. It is usually recommended to have a review as early as possible and not too long between visits, usually at least every three months for a visual acuity check, half a year for an optometry check, and yearly for a new optometry and glasses. In the case of adults, the degree of myopia has usually stabilized, so in this case a checkup once every 1-2 years is sufficient. In general, if the myopia does not change significantly, there is no need to replace the glasses. A pair of frame glasses is used for about 2-3 years, so wait until the lenses show significant wear before replacing the glasses.
