How to simply treat type 2 diabetes?

With advances in medical technology and science, there is growing evidence that for most people with type 2 diabetes, they can get good control of their blood sugar by spending just 5-10 minutes a day. My rule for treating diabetes is to take as little insulin as you can. If you can reduce oral medication, try to reduce oral medication. The simpler the medication used to treat diabetes, the better. In fact, if you are willing to try, it is entirely possible to do so.

There are the following simple treatment options for your reference.

1. Metformin (Gevalt) 0.5g three times a day + Imodium 2mg once a day 2. Metformin (Gevalt) 0.5g three times a day + Selegiline 100mg once a day 3. Metformin (Gevalt) 0.5g tid + Lysodren 14- 20U (injected once a day) 4. Imodium 2mg once a day + Lysodren 14-20U (once a day) 5. Various combinations of the above regimens. Overall, for type 2 diabetic patients with a fat body type, any one of the above regimens can give 80% of the patients good control of their blood sugar. By good control, I mean fasting blood sugar 6-7mmol/L and 2 hours after meal blood sugar 6-9mmol/L. It should be emphasized that without diet control and weight loss (usually 3-5Kg), it is difficult to achieve the blood sugar control standard. (Or rather, without diet control, the above program will fail). Therefore, for patients who apply the above programs, it is emphasized to eat a little less at each meal to make a little weight loss. These regimens, have a somewhat weaker effect on lowering postprandial blood glucose. Therefore, patients eat fewer meals, which do not lead to the occurrence of hypoglycemia (patients can be assured), but help to reduce body weight. Only when weight is controlled, blood glucose, blood pressure and lipids, will all show corresponding improvements.
