Old rural lady who is not comfortable with city life – a case of adjustment disorder. The son works in the city and recently bought a building. In order to honor the elderly, the young couple brought their mother, who was far away in the countryside, to live at home. The old lady was happy at first, but soon troubles followed. First of all, she was not used to living, such as taking the elevator, because she could not read and write, it took her a week to learn; for example, she was always afraid of locking the door, but in her hometown in the countryside, there was no need to lock the door. Secondly, after the children go to work during the day, I am alone at home, and there is no one I know nearby, so I don’t even have someone to talk to, which is very lonely. Thirdly, she was afraid that the food she cooked would not suit her daughter-in-law’s taste, and she would not say anything, which would affect her health over time. Slowly, the old lady began to sleep, reluctant to talk, even do not want to watch TV, unhappy, worried, distracted, and even once almost lost. After careful questioning, the old lady’s condition did not reach the level of depression and was diagnosed as an adjustment disorder.
