[Definition]
Recurrent respiratory tract infection refers to the frequent occurrence of upper and lower respiratory tract infections within 1 year, which is beyond the normal range.
[Judgment conditions]
Recurrent respiratory tract infections are classified into recurrent upper respiratory tract infections and recurrent lower respiratory tract infections according to age, underlying cause and site, the latter can be further classified into recurrent tracheobronchitis and recurrent pneumonia. The specificity of infection sites is conducive to analyzing the etiology and taking corresponding therapeutic measures, while the emphasis on recurrent upper and lower respiratory tract infections, especially recurrent tracheobronchitis and recurrent pneumonia is to distinguish infectious inflammation from allergic inflammation.
