Can diabetics eat ice cream?

Ice-cream is not recommended for diabetics.
Ice-cream is made with a lot of sugar, which is not easy for diabetic patients to control their blood sugar and often rises rapidly after consumption. Hyperglycemia may cause acute complications such as diabetic ketoacidosis and lactic acidosis, which can be life-threatening.
Patients with diabetes who fail to control their blood glucose may develop complications in related organs, such as diabetic retinopathy, diabetic foot, diabetic nephropathy and so on.
In daily life, patients with diabetes are recommended to have a low-salt, low-fat and low-sugar diet, avoiding high-sugar foods such as ice-cream and chocolate, and avoiding high-fat foods such as fatty meat and lard.
Meanwhile, it is recommended that diabetic patients should take reasonable treatment under the guidance of doctors and pay attention to monitoring blood glucose.
