Mycosis fungoides is now known as vulvovaginal pseudomycosis. Treatment for vulvovaginal pseudomycosis takes one to six sessions, as prescribed by your doctor. Depending on the severity of the disease, vulvovaginal pseudomycosis is categorized as simple or complicated vulvovaginal pseudomycosis. In most cases, a single course of systemic or topical medication is sufficient to achieve good results. Complex vulvovaginal pseudomycosis is categorized as severe and recurrent vulvovaginal pseudomycosis. Severe vulvovaginal pseudomycosis is treated with one additional course of treatment on top of simple vulvovaginal pseudomycosis, recurrent vulvovaginal pseudomycosis is treated with an intensive regimen of two to three courses of treatment, and a consolidation regimen of six courses of treatment. Patients with vulvovaginal pseudomycosis need to consult a doctor for timely treatment and should not stop taking the medication to avoid recurrence.
