How many times a day do you take metronidazole tablets for bacterial vaginitis?

  Patients with bacterial vaginitis who take metronidazole tablets for treatment usually need to use the medication three times a day.  Metronidazole is a common gynecological drug that can be used to treat bacterial vaginitis and trichomoniasis. Bacterial vaginitis is a mixed infection caused by dysbiosis of the normal vaginal flora. It is often associated with too frequent sexual intercourse, prolonged vaginal douching, bad lifestyle habits, and sexual intercourse during menstruation, etc. The main manifestation is thin and increased vaginal discharge with a fishy smell. Patients with bacterial vaginitis usually need to take metronidazole tablets three times a day, usually in a course of seven days.
