How is sleep apnea syndrome treated?

       Currently, the treatment of sleep apnea syndrome includes, non-surgical treatment: weight loss, correction of sleep posture, try to lie on the side, prevention of tongue drop, smoking and alcohol cessation, continuous positive airway pressure ventilation (CPAP); surgical treatment: palatopharyngoplasty, nasal dilation, tongue root plasma ablation, tracheotomy, soft palate advancement, and bimaxillary advancement. Of these, palatopharyngoplasty is the most widely indicated.
