What does bronchitis look like on a chest X-ray?

The presentation of bronchiectasis on chest radiographs is not specific and only shows signs such as increased texture and structural disorganization in both lungs, which can also occur in the normal population. However, a chest radiograph is necessary in patients with bronchiectasis, because the purpose is to further differentiate it from other respiratory diseases. Most patients with respiratory diseases have cough and sputum, and there is no significant difference in symptoms, so that other respiratory diseases can be excluded by chest radiography. The diagnosis of bronchiectasis is mainly made by the patient’s symptoms, and routine blood tests also have some auxiliary diagnostic significance, while the possibility of having bronchiectasis can be considered after the chest radiograph excludes other respiratory diseases.
