Is the swelling of the large tendon on the right side of the neck cancer?

The swollen tendon on the right side of the neck cannot be identified as cancer, it may be a localized swollen lymph node or an inflammatory reaction, so we should not judge whether it is cancer simply based on this symptom, but should combine it with other physical symptoms or clinical examination to make a clear diagnosis. If the swollen tendon on the right side of the neck is swollen and can move back and forth when touched by hand, it may be a lipoma, which is called “tendon lump” in common parlance. Patients need to pay attention to the growth rate, but there is no need to be nervous because there are no other uncomfortable symptoms such as fever. It may also be caused by cold. Prolonged cold on the right side of the neck may cause a sterile inflammation of the deep fascia, which may be followed by swelling. In addition, long-term poor posture, habitual bowing and tilting of the head to the right, long-term spasm of muscles such as the sternocleidomastoid muscle in the neck, or scarring and adhesions, also manifest as swelling of the large tendon on the right side of the neck. Patients are advised to visit general surgery or orthopedics in a timely manner and have an ultrasound examination to clarify exactly what disease is causing the problem. At the same time, patients should pay attention to keep warm and strengthen the muscles of the back of the neck in daily life. If it is caused by cold and other reasons, hot compresses can be given appropriately to improve the symptoms.
