What is the sudden chest pain in women?

Sudden chest pain in women is mainly considered to have four possibilities: first, pneumothorax, mostly occurs after severe coughing or exercise, manifested as diffuse pain in the anterior chest area, mostly stabbing pain or distension and accompanied by chest tightness, shortness of breath, often requiring surgical treatment. Second, chest trauma, mostly with a clear history of trauma, manifested as sudden pain and discomfort in the chest, and may be accompanied by local skin redness or swelling or in spots. Third, acute mastitis, mostly seen in lactating women, is an acute purulent infection of the breast tissue, with clinical manifestations of breast congestion, edema, and severe pain, and when there is a breast abscess, more need to perform breast abscess incision and drainage. Fourthly, cystic hyperplasia of the breast is common in women aged 30-50 years old. When the estrogen level rises suddenly before menstruation or due to other factors, sudden pain in the breast can occur and bead-like hyperplasia nodules can be palpated in the breast.
