The phrase “Don’t take bean buns as dry food” is a jingle in the northeast, referring to the fact that bean buns have the same status as other staple foods. However, fatty liver, the second largest liver disease in China after viral hepatitis, is not taken as seriously as other diseases by the majority of patients. To paraphrase this northeastern jingle, I would like to advise all fatty liver patients to never – boss pie head, hidden health crisis. Mr. Deng is a successful gold-collar worker, often stepping into various social occasions, in and out of cars and BMWs, eating all the delicacies of the sea, living a leisurely life, lack of exercise, a big belly, a successful boss’s head. Three years ago a routine physical examination found that he had fatty liver, because there are no uncomfortable symptoms, to the doctor’s good advice and advice to pay attention to prevention and treatment, Mr. Deng simply did not care. Until the last few months, he always felt the right side of the persistent vague pain discomfort, chest pain, tiredness, poor appetite, has obviously affected life and work, had no choice but to come to the hospital for examination. The doctor gave him a checklist of hepatitis virus, liver function, biochemistry, liver fiber, blood lipids, blood sugar, liver, gallbladder and spleen ultrasound, electrocardiogram and other related tests. The examination results showed that Mr. Deng’s liver function and blood lipid level were significantly different from normal people, and another examination index (liver fiber four) was also abnormal, and the ultrasound result was considered as fatty liver combined with early cirrhosis. After reading his examination report, the doctor said to him, “Your fatty liver is more serious, consider the diagnosis of combined liver fibrosis and cirrhosis, and must be treated immediately.” ”I always thought that fatty liver was just a sub-healthy state and not a real disease, so I didn’t pay much attention to it, I didn’t even think it would be so serious!” Mr. Deng began to get a little frustrated and nervous. The doctor gave him a careful analysis and proposed specific treatment measures and recommendations, and this time he readily accepted the doctor’s treatment plan. After a longer period of medication, exercise therapy and diet adjustment, his weight was well controlled, his liver function and lipid levels gradually returned to normal, and the ultrasound also showed a significant improvement in his fatty liver compared to before. Fatty liver, liver fat weight more than 5% The liver is the body’s largest chemical plant, undertaking digestion, detoxification, secretion and other important functions, human life activities can not be separated from it at all times. The nutrients we eat three meals a day must rely on the liver for processing, in order to become the energy needed to provide the body’s vital activities. Normal human liver tissue contains a small amount of fat, such as triacylglycerol, cholesterol, etc., and its weight does not exceed 5% of the weight of the liver. If, for some reason, too much fat accumulates in the liver, exceeding 5% of the liver’s weight, it is called fatty liver, of which there are two categories: alcoholic and non-alcoholic. In Europe and America, alcoholic fatty liver is the main cause. In China, with the continuous improvement of living standards, the number of patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver is increasing, and the incidence rate is as high as 10% to 20%, among which the average incidence rate of fatty liver is as high as 25% or more in professional groups such as white-collar workers, cab drivers, professional managers and individual owners. As the disease progresses, the long-term excessive accumulation of fat in the liver can lead to the gradual development of steatohepatitis from simple fatty liver in the early stage, and about 1/4 to 1/3 of patients have liver fibrosis and cirrhosis, and some even develop into liver cancer. At the same time, most of the fatty liver patients are combined with overweight and/or visceral obesity, and their probability of developing diabetes, coronary heart disease and stroke increases significantly. In view of the multiple complications and dangers of fatty liver, patients with fatty liver must pay enough attention to it. The early stage of fatty liver before fibrosis occurs can be reversed. The control of fatty liver should be based on the principles of prevention before the disease occurs, prevention of the disease and prevention of changes, and prevention and treatment of fatty liver should be based on a combination of measures, mainly on life conditioning, exercise control and medication. In terms of life conditioning, we emphasize a reasonable and balanced diet, change the diet structure, eat more coarse grains and vegetables rich in vitamins and fibers; control the total amount of food, correct overeating, snacking and late night snacking, bedtime satiety and other undesirable lifestyles; eat regular meals, work and rest regularly, quit smoking and alcohol, pay attention to the combination of work and rest, and maintain a relaxed mood. In terms of exercise control, emphasis is placed on strengthening physical exercise, increasing aerobic exercise, consuming fat and losing weight appropriately, and the rate of weight loss should be less than 1.25 kg per week, and should not be too fast. In terms of drug treatment, first of all, we should be cautious with various drugs that may cause fatty liver, which can directly reduce the source of fat, increase the consumption of fat and avoid the occurrence of fatty liver; after the occurrence of fatty liver, especially when there is damage to liver function, liver fibrosis or even cirrhosis and other lesions, appropriate lipid-lowering and liver-protective, anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic treatment can be given. Lipid-lowering drugs such as fibrates, statins or probucol can be used. Liver-protective, anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic drugs such as ezanfold (polyenyl phosphatidylcholine), vitamin E, silymarin and ursodeoxycholic acid can be used, but multiple drugs should not be applied at the same time to avoid increasing the burden on the liver. Chinese medicine is effective in the diagnosis and treatment of fatty liver, and its features and advantages are widely recognized as effective in promoting the reversal of fatty liver and improving its clinical symptoms and certain laboratory indices, which are worth trying.
