Congenital or developmental hip dislocation is a relatively common hip deformity, the incidence rate is about 1 per thousand of newborns, the key to the treatment of this disease is early break, early treatment. The earlier the diagnosis, the simpler the treatment method, the less pain, the better the effect. Clinical manifestations: 1, infancy, the affected limb activity is small, the two sides of the hip stripe asymmetry, diaper change can be and popping sensation; 2, toddler hip widening, walking with a limp or duck gait. Treatment: Clothing harness or support from birth to 6 months. From 6 months to 18 months of age, the treatment method is closed reset (soft tissue release if necessary) and then immobilized with a cast, which must be changed 2–3 times, and the treatment cycle takes 6–9 months. Surgery is required for children over 2 years of age or for those who fail closed repositioning. All of the above treatments result in good repositioning and joint function. Retreatment of children over 8 years of age is also relatively ineffective. Therefore, parents of children who suspect this disease should bring their children to regular hospitals to consult doctors specializing in pediatric orthopedics as soon as possible, so as not to cause the child’s lifelong disability.
