Diabetes mellitus for 5 years, intermittent claudication, walking about 50 meters at a time. The imaging showed occlusion of a long segment of the right superficial femoral artery, interventional opening, balloon dilation, and placement of a stent. The picture below shows recanalization of the femoral artery and significant improvement of blood flow below the knee.
