What department is pancreatitis managed

Pancreatitis is under the control of gastroenterology, and pancreatitis is a disease of gastroenterology, unless it is clear that the pancreatitis is biliary pancreatitis and requires surgical intervention, then the patient needs to live in hepatobiliary surgery, which is then a disease of hepatobiliary surgery. However, most of the general pancreatitis needs to be handled by internal medicine, and the first department to be consulted is gastroenterology, which will give relevant tests such as venous blood amylase, urine amylase, abdominal ultrasound, abdominal CT and other relevant tests. If it is clear that it is biliary pancreatitis, no surgical intervention is needed, and conservative treatment can be continued in the gastroenterology department. If the effect of conservative medical treatment is not satisfactory and surgical intervention is needed, the patient can be referred to the hepatobiliary surgery department for further treatment.
