Is it possible to have a thick endometrium without a curettage?

Whether or not to scrape the uterus with a thick endometrium depends on its cause. In the case of fertile women with thickened endometrium before menstruation, the endometrium can usually return to normal thickness after the end of menstruation. If it is endocrine disorder causing hyperplasia and thickening of the endometrium, it can usually be treated by the combination of estrogen and progestin. If it is due to endometrial polyp, it usually needs to be removed surgically to avoid abnormal uterine bleeding, abnormal menstruation, or infertility, miscarriage and other diseases. In case of cancer of the endometrium, standardized anti-cancer treatment is needed. For the above three cases, the main differential diagnosis is made by diagnostic curettage. After scraping, the scraped out part of the endometrium is sent for pathological examination to identify its benign and malignant nature as well as the state of the endometrium, and then targeted treatment is performed. In case of endometrial thickening, patients should not worry too much first, but visit the obstetrics and gynecology department for examination as soon as possible to clarify the diagnosis and adopt a suitable treatment for themselves.
