As social and cultural attitudes change and living standards improve, more and more people are requesting double eyelid surgery. Currently, blepharoplasty accounts for a high percentage of outpatient plastic surgery procedures. A perfect blepharoplasty line can be designed based on the candidate’s own eye condition, age, occupation and overall facial contour. Blepharoplasty widens the eyelid fissure, lifts the eyelashes and makes the eyes more attractive. Currently, blepharoplasty is a routine procedure in plastic surgery, and although there are many surgical methods, they are summarized in two main categories: incision and submerged eyelid surgery. The incision method has the longest history and produces the most stable and long-lasting blepharoplasty lines. It is suitable for all types of single eyelids and can solve a variety of complex problems such as upper eyelid skin laxity, upper eyelid bloating, and eyelash inversion, so it is more widely used. However, the method has a longer swelling time for older patients, sometimes up to six months. There are one-point method, two-point method and three-point method. The buried line method is suitable for those who have large eyelid fissure, thin eyelids, no bloating, and no eyelid skin laxity; the method is less traumatic, no incision, and the eyelid is natural, but the eyelid line may disappear after the thread knot is loosened.
