Can breast fibroids be cured?

Since there are no medications that can effectively treat breast fibroids, surgery is usually used to remove the tumor. If the surgery is thorough, fibroadenoma of the breast can be cured. Breast fibroadenoma, or fibroadenoma of the breast, is a common tumor in young women and usually does not invade surrounding tissues or metastasize to distant areas, but there is a certain risk of cancer. Breast fibroadenoma usually appears as one or more lumps in one or both breasts, with hard texture, clear borders, smooth surface and easy to be pushed. If the lump is large or painful, surgical removal may be considered. Generally, for single breast fibroadenoma, surgery is more effective and less likely to recur after surgery, while for multiple breast fibroadenoma, there may be a certain risk of recurrence after treatment by surgery. Patients with breast fibroadenoma should be advised to rest in bed after surgery, avoid strenuous activities, keep the wound site clean and dry, and prevent infection. They should also pay attention to a light diet, avoid eating spicy, cold and stimulating foods, and quit smoking and alcohol. In addition, regular follow-up examinations should be conducted as required by the doctor.
