High myopia and glaucoma are two completely independent diseases, and there is no mutual influence between them. If glaucoma appears in the eyes, it is important to go to a regular hospital early for glaucoma screening, including visual acuity examination, intraocular pressure examination, fundus examination, optic nerve fiber layer analysis, and visual field examination. After these examinations, the condition and type of glaucoma are clarified, and symptomatic treatment is given to lower the intraocular pressure. In the early stage, medications such as brinzolamide eye drops and carteolol hydrochloride eye drops should be given to control IOP. In the case of closed-angle glaucoma, after medication to control the IOP in the normal range, anti-glaucoma surgery should be performed early to avoid recurrence of the disease.
