Post-operative bowel movement for anal disease

Do not have a bowel movement on the day after surgery, as this may cause excessive bleeding. The day after surgery is generally called the “first day after surgery”. From the first day after surgery, you can have a bowel movement every day, preferably for a short period of time, preferably once a day. Excessive number of bowel movements, excessive forceful bowel movements and prolonged periods of time may lead to wound edema. The internal hemorrhoid ligature line falls off 7-14 days after surgery, it is especially important to ensure that the stool is normal at this time. Both excessive daily bowel movements and difficult bowel movements may cause excessive bleeding during the dislodgement period, and some patients will need to go to the hospital to have the dislodged wound stitched up.
