Double eyelid surgery after “maintenance” attention

Having double eyelids is a plastic surgery project with little trauma and delicate operation. If you don’t pay attention to the care after surgery, it will produce some unnecessary troubles and even affect the effect. Therefore after having double eyelids, the following issues should be paid attention to after surgery. Need 1~2 days cold compress after surgery, usually a small gauze will be used to cover the surgical site to play the purpose of gentle compression, absorption of blood seepage and protection of the incision. A cold compress with ice can be applied after surgery because cooling will cause the blood vessels of the eyelids to contract, prevent capillary bleeding and prevent postoperative swelling, and the low temperature will also make people feel less painful. Cold compresses are only needed for 1 to 2 days after surgery, after which hot compresses should be applied. Hot compresses can promote blood circulation and help reduce swelling. If the small blood vessels are damaged during the eyelid surgery or if the bleeding is not completely stopped during the surgery, external impact on the eyes after the surgery, intense exercise or changing emotions can cause bleeding, bruising or hematoma in the wound. To prevent these complications, the local wound can be dressed with pressure or cold compresses with ice bags, but the pressure should not be high to avoid damaging the eye. Once bleeding and severe hematoma occur after surgery, follow up with the hospital in time. After surgery, do not bend over to tie shoelaces, read books or lie on your back, or forcefully defecate, or lift heavy objects, all of which are likely to cause bleeding and exudation and aggravate swelling. Sleep with a high pillow to help reduce swelling as soon as possible. There is no need to apply antibiotics. Most oculoplastic surgery is a clean procedure and does not require antibiotics, much less infusions. If there are signs of inflammation such as redness, swelling, heat and pain, it is important to seek medical attention and use medication under the guidance of a doctor. It is important to avoid touching the surgical site with unclean hands to avoid bacterial infection. It is important to give your eyes adequate rest and to read books and cell phones as little as possible after surgery. It is important to reduce eyelid activity for three days after surgery to facilitate tissue healing. Later in the procedure, you can open and close your eyes appropriately and consciously to increase muscle activity, promote the formation of the heavy lid line crease, promote lymphatic and blood circulation, and facilitate early recovery. Do not wear contact lenses for 2 to 3 weeks after surgery. Contact lens wearers should refrain from wearing them for 2-3 weeks after surgery according to medical advice. The period of 3-6 months after double eyelid surgery is the proliferation period of surgical scars, during this period, do not use makeup and skin care products containing heavy metals. Have a good attitude. Just after the surgery, about 50% of people’s two eyes don’t look the same, mainly due to the difference in swelling on both sides, so don’t look in the mirror often and dry up for a few months before the eyelid shape is fully determined, but keep a relaxed mood. A very small number of people also have a slight difference between the left and right sides after the swelling has gone down. However, it is impossible for everyone’s eyes to be exactly the same, so the slight difference is not an aesthetic problem and should not be a cause for concern. If you are still concerned about it, you need to fully communicate with your doctor before deciding whether you need to adjust it. Finally, we remind you that you must choose a regular qualified medical beauty institution!
