Normal people secrete 0.9~2.2μL/min of tears in a waking state, such as more than 100 times, even if the tear duct is normal when there are emotional fluctuations, tears can occur. When the eye is stimulated by a harmful substance, it reflexively secretes a large amount of tears to flush and dilute the harmful substance, which is a normal physiological defence phenomenon.
