Day surgery: It is a safe, painless and humanized technical service management model provided by the hospital for eligible patients for hysteroscopic examination and treatment for the convenience of patients and to shorten their hospital stay, which usually lasts 36-48 hours. Scope of application: some hysteroscopic examinations and procedures, such as uterine cavity superfluous organisms [endometrial polyps, cervical canal polyps, submucosal fibroids (smaller ones)], residual pregnancy tissue, embedded and broken birth control ring, incomplete longitudinal uterus, uterine cavity adhesions, postmenopausal endometrial thickening of unknown nature or uterine cavity effusion, abnormal bleeding and ultrasound suggestive of uneven endometrial thickening, hysteroscopic evaluation of infertility, etc. Procedure: Gynecological general or specialist outpatient consultation for patients who meet the indications → completion of routine preoperative laboratory tests in the outpatient clinic → appointment for hospitalization in the day surgery ward → consultation and communication with the bedside physician, completion of medical records and arrangement for surgery → preoperative preparation and anesthesia evaluation → surgery in the operating room → discharge on the day of surgery or the next day → histopathological results and outpatient follow-up one week later. Exceptions: For those with comorbidities, poor tissue properties found by surgery, more bleeding, more difficult surgery, longer surgery time, or other complications, extended hospital stay or other treatment is required.
