How to treat tinnitus to work

At present, there are still great difficulties in the treatment of tinnitus, because there are so many diseases and causes that cause tinnitus that it is sometimes difficult to make a correct diagnosis of the cause and location of the lesion, and even if a diagnosis of the cause and location can be made, there are sometimes difficulties in the treatment of the cause, therefore, although there are many treatments for tinnitus, there is no special effective method so far. The effectiveness of tinnitus treatment is evaluated by the reduction of tinnitus and the relief of anxiety, and is not called a cure as in the case of other diseases. Etiological treatment is divided into medical treatment and surgical treatment. Surgical treatment is the surgical treatment of some diseases that cause tinnitus, such as arteriovenous fistula and aneurysm. The efficacy of cochlear neurectomy, vestibular neurectomy, surgical treatment of auditory neuroma, and bulbar plexus neurectomy for tinnitus is difficult to determine. These surgeries should not be used as a treatment for tinnitus unless they are needed for the disease itself. Drug treatment is divided into treatment of the underlying disease that accompanies tinnitus and symptomatic treatment. 1. Treatment of the underlying disease: For example, medication for otitis media, Mérieux disease, abnormal thyroid function, etc. In addition, vitamin B, zinc preparations, and ginkgo biloba preparations, may help in the treatment of non-selective tinnitus, but the efficacy has yet to be clinically proven. Hypoglycemia can be the cause of tinnitus, such as tinnitus intensifies after sleeping or early in the morning, while drinking glucose water. 10-20 minutes tinnitus reduction can be confirmed. 2. Symptomatic treatment: One is to reduce the effect of tinnitus on patients, and the other is tinnitus suppressant drugs to reduce the effect of tinnitus: such drugs mainly include anti-anxiety and antidepressants, but all of these drugs have different degrees of side effects, and even some of them can aggravate tinnitus, so they should be used with caution and not in excess. For example, Doxepin, Eszopiclone and other tinnitus suppressants such as lidocaine, clonazepam, carbamazepine, etc. Masking therapy is currently a more effective method of tinnitus treatment.
