We combined the use of VSD material coverage + negative pressure drip irrigation with active treatment of severe trauma and primary disease to provide a good traumatic base for trauma coverage, and the manner of trauma repair often plays an important role in trauma healing and even later functional rehabilitation. According to the trauma situation, we adopted two surgical methods of skin grafting and flap grafting respectively. In terms of flap selection, the author adopted two methods: local flap transplantation and free flap transplantation. From the therapeutic effect, the author believes that the comprehensive treatment including thorough debridement, negative pressure closed drainage technique, drip irrigation technique and skin or flap transplantation is an effective method for repairing severely infected wounds with skin and soft tissue defects, which is worth to be popularized and applied in the clinic.
