Bronchiectasis Imaging Performance

The manifestations of bronchiectasis imaging are mainly characteristic signs shown by double lung radiographs or CT. Most commonly, there is a significantly dilated cystic lumen, there can be intracavitary fluid and gas accumulation, and it is possible to see thickening of the bronchial wall with edema, congestion, and even inflammatory reactions in the peribronchial tissue. The lung parenchyma appears to be hyperventilated with depressions. The airways are in a state of continuous dilatation and show the typical double-track sign as well as circumferential shadows. There may also be curly hair-like and honeycomb shadows, all of which are typical imaging manifestations of bronchial dilatation.
