It has been proven that lower limb venous disease is closely related to pregnancy and the postpartum period. During pregnancy, the uterus gradually increases in size, and the enlarged uterus will compress the inferior vena cava and iliac vein. From the time the uterus develops to the point where it can compress the inferior vena cava and iliac vein, it lasts about 4 to 5 months until delivery, and the continuous compression of the uterus on the inferior vena cava and iliac vein causes poor venous blood return to the lower extremities, resulting in a continuous increase in venous pressure in the lower extremities. In addition, under normal circumstances, the left common iliac vein is in the crevice between the right common iliac artery and the lumbar vertebrae or sacrum and is easily occluded by pressure. This compression is exacerbated during pregnancy, which can lead to deep vein thrombosis in the lower extremities. Among the patients treated by the authors for lower extremity DVT, postpartum patients account for about one-fifth of the cases, which fully illustrates the relationship between the onset of lower extremity DVT and pregnancy and postpartum. Therefore, the prevention of lower limb DVT should start from the middle of pregnancy. The following preventive work should be done from the fourth month of pregnancy. 1.Frequent flexion and extension activities of lower limbs can mobilize the role of calf muscle pump, increase the flow rate of venous blood and promote the return of venous blood in lower limbs. 2, supine bed, raise both lower limbs, so that the two legs alternately flexed and extended, like riding a bicycle action. After the uterus enlarges, when it is inconvenient to lie on your back, you can lie on your side. First move one side of the lower limbs, then turn over, change to the other side, and then move the other side of the lower limbs. The focus of the activity of the knee and ankle joint, which can reduce the pressure of the veins of the lower limbs, accelerate the flow of venous blood in the lower limbs, which is conducive to the return of venous blood in the lower limbs. 3, the condition should buy imported sequential decompression elastic stockings, can choose the elasticity in 15-20 mm Hg elastic stockings can. A pair of elastic stockings can achieve the preventive effect of pregnancy and late delivery. 4, poor economic conditions can be used elastic bandage wrapping double lower extremities, only need to wrap to 3 ~ 5 cm below the knee joint can be. This can reduce the time of lower extremity venous blood in the lower extremities, but also can have a preventive effect. 5, should abandon the traditional postpartum “sitting” bad habits, early postpartum can be appropriate in bed to move the lower limbs, the most simple action is flexion and extension of the knee and ankle joint. The method is: force down the foot, try to make the ankle joint straight, hold 1 to 2 seconds; then force the foot back flexion (hook foot), and then hold 1 to 2 seconds, so repeatedly practice, can mobilize the role of calf muscle pump, accelerate the lower limb venous blood flow, also conducive to the lower limb venous reflux, can effectively prevent deep vein thrombosis. 6, the maternal wearing elastic stockings during pregnancy, should continue to wear until the normal activities after delivery, not only can prevent the formation of deep vein thrombosis of the lower extremities, but also to maintain the shape of the work.
