A superficial femoral vein stent is a therapeutic device used by patients to dilate the superficial femoral vein when it is narrowed or occluded. The indications for superficial femoral vein stent and the way of operation are as follows: 1. Indications: When patients have stenosis or occlusion of the superficial femoral vein, in order to alleviate recurrent thrombosis in patients, superficial femoral vein stent can be used to dilate the blood vessels. 2. Operation method: the surgical access is the right femoral vein, and the guidewire is utilized to reach the lesion within the superficial femoral vein. After the guidewire reaches the lesion, the balloon is used to fully dilate the blood vessel, and the stent of appropriate size is selected and released from far to near. After release, imaging is required to show that the stent is adequately adherent to the vessel wall. It should be noted that the surgical wound should be bandaged with pressure to prevent hematoma. Note: The use of superficial femoral vein stenting needs to be determined by the patient’s hospital depending on the degree of the disease.
