Recommendations and contraindications for the diet of patients with bilateral bell phenomenon asymmetry

  Asymmetry of Bell’s phenomenon in both eyes is one of the symptoms of bilateral supination palsy in one eye, most of which are acquired. However, it can also be congenital. For congenital ptosis, it is difficult to find ways to prevent it, but early detection and treatment is the key. In the case of acquired ptosis, which is mostly unilateral, it is caused by trauma, injury to the muscles or to the nerve of the eye after illness.  Patients with bilateral asymmetric bell phenomenon should eat a diet high in vitamin B1; foods high in vitamin B12; and foods high in collagen. The following foods are recommended to be eaten in moderation: 1, chicken leg mushroom Rich in B vitamins, it has the effect of nourishing nerves and improving nerve function. Suggest 250g fried food or stew to eat.  2, fish skin is rich in collagen, providing rich raw materials for the repair of ligaments and other tissues. Suggest 100g stew to eat, you can add a little ginger.  3.Pig’s trotters Rich in collagen, it can improve the elasticity of the skin and relieve the symptoms of sagging eyelids. It is recommended that 200-500g be eaten in stew with radish.  Patients with asymmetrical phenomenon of both eyes bell avoid eating alcoholic beverages; avoid eating foods with paralyzing effect. The following foods are recommended to be eaten sparingly or not: 1. Betel nut The marinade contains some irritating ingredients that can produce a peripheral nerve similar to a drunken-like reaction. It is recommended to eat non-irritating food instead.  2, wine contains a large amount of fruit pulp as well as alcohol. It is not conducive to the recovery of nerve function. It is recommended to switch to non-irritating grapes.
