The possibility of lymphatic metastasis exists in early small cell lung cancer. Small cell lung cancer belongs to a kind of neuroendocrine cancer, which is characterized by early metastasis and rapid progression. Lymphatic and vascular metastasis can occur at an early stage, therefore, the prognosis of small cell lung cancer is usually poor, and most of the cases are already in the middle or late stage when they are found. Besides, small cell lung cancer is more sensitive to chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and conventional treatment is mainly based on radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Moreover, due to the easy occurrence of early metastasis, patients usually do not have the chance of surgery, but a few patients still have the chance of surgery in the early stage. It is suggested that patients should consult the doctor promptly after diagnosis and actively treat the disease to avoid delaying the condition.
