Can cervical spine hyperplasia heal itself?

Cervical spondylolisthesis is not self-healing and is an irreversible phenomenon. Most of the cervical spine osteophytes are caused by the protective reaction of the body due to prolonged head bowing and ageing, which is a physiological phenomenon of the bones. Most patients with osteophytes have no obvious discomfort, and most of them are found by chance during physical examinations and photographs, and cannot heal themselves, and there is no special medicine that can remove the enlarged bone. If the degree of cervical osteophytes continues to increase, resulting in local nerve compression symptoms, pain and discomfort in the neck and shoulders or numbness and weakness in the extremities, abnormal sensation and other symptoms, cervical traction, acupuncture, massage and other treatments, as well as the necessary medication, should be given. When osteophytes compress blood vessels, spinal cord and nerves, which seriously affect the normal life and work of patients, and when conservative treatment is ineffective or recurs, surgical intervention is possible. Therefore, patients and family members should have a correct understanding of osteophytes, maintain an optimistic attitude, pay attention to more head tilting and less head lowering in daily life, prevent cold and keep warm, and do not get cold.
