How can myopia be treated if found?

What should I do if myopia appears? The following is an excerpt from the chapter on treatment of adolescent myopia in the national advanced health textbook “Ophthalmology” (for optometry, 2nd edition) edited by Professor Kozo Renyuan, a leading refractive surgeon in the country, and published by the People’s Health Publishing House, which is the nationally recognized treatment for adolescent myopia: If the child is pseudomyopia and does not need to wear glasses, ciliary muscle paralyzing agents (0.5 tropicamide) or fog vision therapy to relax the ciliary muscle. True myopia diagnosed by optometry should be corrected promptly. The correction method includes glasses. The current method of correcting myopia is mainly glasses. Myopia wearing glasses can improve visual acuity, coordinate adjustment and collection movement, eliminate visual fatigue, can also reduce refractive error, and promote the development of binocular monovision. 1, corneal contact lenses. Compared with frame glasses, contact lenses have a small impact on the imaging size and a larger field of view, which is especially suitable for people with high myopia and large refractive aberration. Among them, keratoplasty is a special design of high oxygen permeable hard lenses, which can reduce the paracentral defocusing phenomenon after general frame glasses and contact lenses are worn, and is proven to be an effective measure to stop the development of myopia in adolescents, but the use should be strictly controlled and must be regulated by medical professionals for fitting. 2. Progressive multifocal lenses. With regard to stopping the development of myopia in adolescents, they may be effective for internal occlusion, but harmful for those with external occlusion. Therefore, if you find that your teenager’s vision is not up to standard, you should go to the hospital for medical optometry in time to distinguish between true and pseudo myopia. In case of true myopia, frame glasses or keratoplasty lenses can be chosen according to the situation. So how to prevent myopia from deepening? The most important thing is to develop good eye habits. After reading and writing for 30-40 minutes, you should take a break for 5 to 10 minutes. In addition, there should be a correct eye posture, eyes should be 1 foot from the book. Many children start their myopia with a wrong pencil grip, and because of the wrong pencil grip, they write with their head tilted and close together. It is recommended that choosing a sport that you love and exercising outdoors for 1 to 2 hours a day can effectively delay the deepening of myopia. The only medically proven way to stop the deepening of myopia in young people is to wear keratoplasty lenses, but the fitting is complicated and must be done at a qualified hospital and follow-up visits.
